The shop I like best in this part of the state is in Ann Arbor, which is
a town about 1 1/4 hours away by car.

If you visit the Bead Gallery, be sure to ask to see the upstairs part
of the store. Sometimes it's opened only by request.
If you'll be in Lansing over the May 18-19 weekend, check out the East
Lansing Art Festival. You'll find it in the middle of downtown East
Lansing from about 10AM-6PM both days.
-I was just in Ann Arbor to pick up my sick husband a few weeks back.
In the local phone book, there's a store listed called "Findings",
located at 2366 E. Stadium Blvd., Ann Arbor, MI (734) 677-8420. I
never got to visit any bead stores, so I can't tell you how good this
particular store is.
