The just released design Blue Moon Angel uses 236 beads no. 00557 from
Mill Hill Beads. These are sold by wieght and you will still have to guess
at the number of packages. Don't forget to allow for the ones that "fly"
away. Please take a copy of this to your local store and they will love
you for it!
Answer:
Mill Hill repackages japanese glass beads. If we could find
out the manufacturer number, it'd be possible to order the beads at
much lower prices from various bead shops. When I do beaded embroidery,
I buy beads in 20 gram quanities for only a little more than *one*
package of Mill Hill beads (11/0 seeds come in 4.5g packages). Big time
rip-off. The problem, of course, is getting the right color.
And the petite seeds that Mill Hill sells are size 14/0 seeds.
