Captive Bead Rings.

Question:
I just discovered this newsgroup because I was thinking of getting a tattoo and wanted to do some research. I already have my eyebrow pierced and had a question about the ring. I have a captive bead ring (no idea what size but its pretty small) and a few months ago the ball fell out of the ring (I was fiddling with it and it went pop!) I had no chance of getting it back in. The bead was too small and my fingers too big :) I put a sleeper in there until I could find a way to put the original ring back in, but it was too small and the piercing started to close a little, so I eventually went and bought a 'barbed wire' type of ring. It has a barbed wire spur instead of a bead and was much easier to get in. ANYWAY, I wondered if there was any easier way to get the bead to fit back on the ring? any little tricks or anything? hehe

Answer:
-Just a lot of practice and patience, sometimes they snap right in others they give even the most experienced a problem. I find the best solution is bigger gauges and circular barbells instead.

-I find the best solution is a pair of ring opening pliers

-Twist the ring open.. it's much easier than trying to pull it apart. When you twist it it opens the gap and the bead will fall out. To close it just hold the bead up against one side and twist it shut.
