Question:
Am looking everywhere for the large size perler beads. I live in
michigan. Any suggestions other than craft stores?
Answer:
-I work with many types of beads and know of many sources, so I
might be able to help you find some online shops and catalogs.
What are perler beads? About how many millimeters are the large
size (most beads are sized in mm rather than inches)? I've not
heard of perler beads, noticed you didn't get a response posted
online, so I figure these beads must also have another name. If you don't know
of another name then perhaps you could describe them.
-Perler beads are not beads that you string. They are plastic tubes that
you put on a background and then fuse with an iron to make coasters or
other little doodads. Used them with both my boys when they were 5 or 6
as a fun dexterity and design toy.
-Kid's "beads" which are cylinders placed on their ends on a pattern
and then fused together by heat. I've seen them at Toys R Us.
