Question:
I'm a Catholic...and I've started wearing my beads around my neck
lately..but my other friend who is also Catholic says that it's not right to
wear them..and that it's like disrespectful or something...that you're not
meant to ever wear your Rosary. Is this right..and how come? Thanks
everyone!
Answer:
-If they are blessed they are a sacramental just like a blessed medal. There
is nothing inherently wrong with wearing a rosary, t but ask yourself why
you are wearing it. There you will find your answer as to right or wrong.
-Some nuns and monks wear them as part of the habit, but probably use a
smaller Rosary to pray with.
My idea is, if you wear it, wear it reverently, not as just a necklace, and
you're all right doing it.
-I wear one most of the time. It is a great conversation maker at
parties when an Evangelical spots it.
-They use prayer beads not the rosary. There are many configurations
used for various religions. Beads on a string does not a rosary make.
Or are you claiming that buddhists have a crucifix attached to their
prayer beads?
